After three years of daily broadcasting, 4Player Podcast hit a milestone a few nights ago. Thirty Million Views. It's an amazing accomplishment and it was only possible because of hard work and dedication. So thanks to all the community members, viewers, and stopper-bys that helped us reach that mark.
But despite the magnitude of the recent accomplishment, there's one that grossly overshadows it.
Thirty Thousand Cheevos.
Brad Simons, the man who is also largely responsible for helping 4Player Podcast reach that view count is on the verge of hitting an amazing number of Achievements on his Xbox 360 Gamer Profile. The first person in 4Player Podcast History.
Currently he is sitting at 29991. Tonight on the feed, he'll be trying to finish Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on Playstation 3. But should he switch over to play something on Xbox 360, there is a possibility he could surpass the thirty thousand cheevo mark, an absolutely astounding number.
It's a feat that is only matched by the class, patience, and humility shown by this truly remarkable man. Should he break the Thirty Thousand Cheevo mark, camera crews will be standing by on scene with Punch and Pie to cover historic event and to begin the celebration. Again there is no guarantee that the record will be broken, so we'll all have to wait in awe to see how it unfolds.
We'll see you tonight on 4Player Podcast.
David
Brad gets off work at 11 Central.

30,000 Cheevos?!?!? This is history in the making. If he doesn't pass it tonight just steal his profile and pop in something easy.

Should be a cheevo for hitting 30000 cheevos

Somehow... I get the feeling that Brad might be more sad than happy about hitting 30000 cheevos.
I think for him, it'd be more like... "30000 reasons why cheevos have ruined games" or something. But who knows.

Congrats guys! And why am I now surprised David would make a post about achievements? :P

I'm placing money that he gets 30,000 with Comic Jumper. Good game for a break through I would say.

You've been very obsessed with achievements lately David. It's like I'm listening to Bomb Cast sometimes.

And I bet the first words he says are "M'eh, whatever".
If there's one thing me and Brad share, it's that we could care less for achievement points.

This indeed is a remarkable moment that needs to be remembered... forever.

Its funny that Brad, the biggest hater of achievo's, is getting 30,000 points!

I gotta wake up sooo early for work tomorrow but I don't care. I know it's not guaranteed that he will hit it tonight. I know that it doesn't make any sense to stay up late to see if someone hits the mark. I just NEED to do this. I will not sleep until he either hits it or stops broadcasting entirely. I will be tired as hell tomorrow!!! HELL YEAH!!!

Congrats on the 30 million views, but there is something wrong with this post. Brad has 30,000 gamerscore, not achievements. I know this because I have Brad on my xbox live friend list. And there is a difference between the two. Each achievement can be worth anything from 5 to 100 gamerscore, sometimes even more. For example, you can have 30,000 gamerscore but only about 2,000 achievements.
30,000 gamerscore is still cool but I have trouble being impressed by it; I've had my xbox for less than 2 years and I have 26,000 gamerscore.
I don't mean to rain on Brad/David's Cheevo parade, but I'm just being logical.
Sorry.
