Not the only reason but a pretty damn important one. I was looking at the character art for this game. Rottytops is my kind of girl. Brad had mentioned her in the last podcast and I went out to look for video footage.
This trailer looks pretty good. I like some of the enemy design. It looks like it has personality, like the angry octopus. If it really is a Metroidvania style game, I could definitely be up for it. For example the point in the trailer where she transforms into an elephant to break some rocks. That makes me excited.

Man, I really wish this game was for the regular DS since I lack a DSi. I'd really like to play this game. More so for the metroidvania type aspects, though.

this looks very promising from first glance...like David said it is like a metroidvania and i think the market is in need of another title with new unique aspects
