Obey Your Fandom: Drink Up These Sprites

So what has prevented the developer from releasing a potentially awesome game for many years? Is it the copyrighted bullshit that could catch him, since most of the characters are from well known franchises?

this is so using a mugen engine, the sprites are gorgeous though.

I don't think a cease and desist is stopping this development of this. otherwise people would've stopped playing mugen and making characters for it a long time ago. i'm guessing it's just lack free time

Nuuuuuu. Why did I have to lay eyes on such magnificence?! I REALLY tend to avoid gettig excited for fan made projects like this. I've been let down TOO many times to get excited over another one.

Chrono Resurrection, Metroid SR388, Open C1 and now with talks about the recent Sonic Fan Remix to recieve a cease & desist. All beautiful looking fan-made games with no future ahead of them =(. Hope this one gets to see the light of day that these others ones didn't.

For anyone curious, Trailer 5's song is a rock cover of Native Faith from the touhou game series. im not completely shocked to hear it though, its very fitting as a fighting song.

overall, I suck at fighters but I love watching others play them and doing insane combos. also, where else besides mugen will we be able to see megaman vs samus?

Since they're using MUGEN system, I don't think we'll need to worry about any cease and desist orders as long as they don't sell the game. If they just give it out for free, it should be fine. That also means it's probably going to be on the PC only.

The sprite work these guys have done are amazing. I'll be sure to keep an eye on their site from now on.

It seems like they are spending to much time creating characters, while being able to pit almost every character you could ever what in a fighting game and then some against each other is freakin' awesome I think they should release the game and proceed to add more characters later. They already have an awesome line up and if it's using the mugen engine or based off the mugen engine adding more characters later shouldn't be a problem.

I honestly thought that this game was released already, but yea i wasnt informed as well as i thought. but honestly, i love how well it is developing. keep us updated if possible.

Looks pretty amazing, hope it gets released, the amount of time and effort put in to making that many characters is mind boggling.

Ok after seeing the trailer and the Disgaea character, i am totally sold about this game. I sure hope the full game would eventually be release.

It's a shame I don't have the time or the willpower to get invested in new fighting games. I'm of the old Guilty Gear caliber, I got that kind of fighting system running in my veins. Getting into Blazblue was really easy for me, learning the BnB's etc.

But for any new fighting game that isn't Arc System Works, I don't even bother because I would have to get into a whole new mindset, learn a completely new system.

And I'm too obsessive and competitive to just play a fighting game "for fun" without really learning the core mechanics. I'm a mess, I have to know exactly which quick move has less animation frames and how to counter what with what.. ugh. FML

I will be enjoying the development of this thing from a safe distance.

I was also surprised that they had some rpg characters and monsters in them. Quite a bit of nostalgia i had looking at all of the characters. Can't wait. I just can't. Gotta go change pants now.
