TGS 2010: Fuck Me, Ghost Trick Delayed 2011

My most anticipated game of this year will apparently be my most anticipated game of next year as news reports are listing the game as pushed back to January of 2011. This doesn't really come as a surprise to me as it's never had a specified release date in the first place.

But now there's a decision involving whether I should just buy the game here while I'm in Japan or wait until January, possibly later. At Tokyo Game Show I passed up the opportunity to buy it new at the Capcom store for 60 bucks, when it came along with the 2 disc 37 song soundtrack, something I really wanted. I made the decision thinking the game would be out in English this winter and I didn't need more CDs lying around the house. But now that the game's been delayed I'm strongly considering buy the game and working through it with a Japanese Dictionary. Also I still need to find the OST online.

A lot of the game involves recreating a scene with visual clues, so unlike something like Professor Layton or Phoenix Wright which are completely dialogue based, it's completely do able. I'd probably be missing out on some story or even the comedy. But it might be worth it as the gameplay is what I'm most interested in anyways.

Plus a lot of the game's story looks to be told through animated cut scenes or at least that's how I assume it will be. It's a toss up right now. I've still got some time to decide so we'll see how it goes. I'll keep you updated and of course should I purchase the game, you'll have my impressions .
