Good show, seemed to drag on at a few places but it was overall fun to listen to. I feel the same way about Enslaved as Brad does it deserves a lot more attention over Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. It's sad to see trailers and not actual gameplay and presentation get the attention of people.

Thank you David for reading my Chatter 4 the Week entry.

When I said "I'm not trying to kiss anyones ass", I assumed that everyone liked a game on my list. Nick had silent hill 2, David had We <3 Katamari, and Brad had Killer7 (at least I think its a game he really likes).
What I said (which Im sorry for the heavy writing, I feel I need to explain my choices) was:
[Keep in mind I'm not trying to kiss anybodies ass.
Even though it may seem that way, the reason why I listen to the podcast is because you all have excellent taste in games (at least brad, david, travis, joseph and nolan do :P), and it goes without saying that if you guys like it, then so will I.]

I picked the number 4 to 1 games for how they made me feel. they all had very different gameplay, very different artistic style, and very different story and atmosphere. I value a game that can make me feel and see things in a different light and its these games that have a lasting mark on me.

    Chromehounds is a different story.

There was a time a few years after its release where it became popular for no reason. the campaign is incredibly forgettable but that doesn't matter. this game is in its online.
You win matches, you get money. you spend money on parts. you use parts in building insanely creative mechs that pertained to your play style. Say you wanted to be a scout. you put just a few machine guns on, a couple armor plates where it matters, and standard wheels. because you were so light in your arsenal and armor, you could move very fast and quite literally "scout" out the enemy mechs.
Wanted to be a sniper, put on quadruped legs. although not very good with mobility, they would allow for little to no recoil and you could put as many sniper rifles on as you could afford (so like 6).

I was a well rounded powerhouse. This beast had two sniper rifles, two howitzer cannons, 2 missile pods and two machine guns, with armor on top of my weapons. I had to use the tank treads because they had the highest weight threshold or whatever.
I was a monster with bright shiny red and black digital camouflage paint job known only to my friends as "Big Red".
The problem with my mech was if the match ran on too long, I'd run out of ammo and fuel, but that was rarely the issue.
I got together with 2 school buddies of mine and several other people who lived in canada and created a squad. We were TEAM CANADIAN and we kicked some serious ass (at least I think we did). I played it every day after school with these 7-8 guys and I have put more time collectively in Chromehounds than any other online game.
Sadly, it isn't as fun or as great as it used to be. You really need to be in a squad to play it properly.
I don't even know if the servers are still up..
anyway, if anyone wants to play, feel free to pick it up. its prolly 10 dollars or less in bargain bins. hit me up with an email. I desperately want to play that game again.
