Mass Effect 2 Drizzles into your PSThrizzle

I am excited for this, however, I'm curious on if they'll somehow release ME1 on the playstation as well. You don't really need to play the first one to figure out the second but it's such a better experience to know the story from the original. Maybe a PSN download of ME1 would be nice.

I have access to a 360 but it's conveniently not located where I can play it for all hours, so I'm restricted to my Mac and PS3. So, having this on the PS3 will be nice considering I won't have to boot up in Windows on my Mac anymore. lol

And of course the better hardware will make this game even more gorgeous. :3

Ohhh, this is a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who bought 360 for exclusives. It's a very logical business step for EA, however. Cross-console with series is becoming much more of an expected move.

Like everyone else though, I am curious as to how they're working with the ME1 file save. Half of the genius of Mass Effect 2 is seeing how your decisions in the first game affects where you are now. I'm willing to bet they have a contingency plan for this, though.

I have a friend who is VERY PS3 heavy. He said Mass Effect didn't look very good.

I feel betrayed, I'm happy for PS3 owners, but now I feel like I just got slapped in the face for buying the 360 instead of the PS3. If it runs smoother and better, then I may be a little mad...

I'm guessing they'll release a package of all 3 games when ME3 comes out but I imagine that the PS3 release would take longer. I'm definitely buying this in January even though I played through it twice on the 360 because its such a great game and I don't mind having multiple copies of it. Thanks for the heads up Carlos.

I guess I'll just use my 360 as a crappy DVD player for my other TV now... =/

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I read in USA Today that ME1 was published by Microsoft, which is why it's not being made for PS3 as well (yet, at least).

In any case, as someone who *only* owns a PS3, I'm very excited. And if they release ME1 on PSN or package all three together when ME3 comes out, I'll definitely have to jump on it.

To be honest, Mass Effect was one of the only reasons I was considering getting a 360 before. Now if we can only get Left 4 Dead, I'll be able to live with my PS3 completely guilt-free. :D

I don't think you can judge that the PS3 version will be smoother from what we saw. The scenes were really short...

I'm just disappointed the rumors from yesterday were right because I was expecting something more interesting than it going to another system. It's also silly because there are no plans for the first game.

Bioware had enough problems catering to the casuals that casual'd up mass effect 2 on 360: now, they have to do the same for PS3 players...Mass Effect 3 has me very worried at this point along with Dragon Age 2

Mass Effect 1 isn't coming to PS3 so I don't care about Mass Effect 2. I'm not going to jump into the middle of the trilogy so they can take this series and shove it. The only thing I will play from them is the Dragon Age series.

I was watching EA live and I was really excited because the build up seemed to be a ME3 trailer but then it was just ME2 and I kind of felt relieved, especially as I haven't played 2 or Awakening.

YES. After all the months of dreaming wishing Xbox exclusives were for the PS3 one great one finally is.

Not to be a party pooper but, isn't the PS3 a bitch to program for? I mean, look at The Orange Box. I dunno if they spent the last 7 months or so working on this, but I'm cautious. Also, why didn't they include a Chose-Your Past quiz in the 360 and PC version instead of setting a default opening for the Second game?
