It seems Mafia 2 had the ambitious idea of creating a system that allowed random NPCs to have conversations with each other. We have seen this before in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and, just like in that game, this system seems a bit ahead of its time. And while the Oblivion had the problem of awkward and repeated conversations, Mafia 2 presents a new horror. Behold the potential nightmare of "additional voices".

I don't know... I thought it was pretty funny, albeit, slightly weird seeing Nolan North talk to himself.

Yo dawg we put nolan north in your nolan north so you can *shot*
Very weird though. They had to have people program this into it but still talking to himself?

I sense some sarcasm in the paragraph above the video...

Before I started watching, I was already laughing at the thought of him talking to himself.
After I started watching, I couldn't breath.
Brilliance, I say.

This game has created a Time Paradox! This NPC dialogue kinda reminds me of the one in San Andreas for some reason...

Ahh that was great moment, laughed just at the idea. Hopefully it won't be too bad a problem in the game...

About 50 years later, their children will be gunned down by Nathan Drake. The Nolan North giveth, and the Nolan North taketh away.

2 random pedestrians walking by in the 1950's- Nolan North
1 adventurer/theif on a journey to find Shengrula- Nolan North
Having a video game library completely filled with a single voice actor- Priceless
Video game companies can cast their own voice actors, but for everything else there's Nolan North

I'm willing to be that this was done on purpose. There have been jokes flying around about Nolan North being everyone in everything so they put in this easter egg.
On a related note, I think Pluto exploded after they recorded this.

They should release one of those HD upgrade collections but title it "The Nolan North Pack"

Haha. And we grow one step closer to Nolan North: The Game.
14 years, 8 months ago
Oh Nolan... Only someone with the same exact voice as you can hold up a conversation with you.

I'm sure there will be a game eventually with only 3 voice actors: Nolan North, Laura Bailey and Yuri Lowenthall.
Yeah, they're all good voice actors, but damned if they aren't the 'go to' people in the industry. @_@

Oh man, I am going to waste so much time in this game just walking by pedestrians to hear the many coversations of Nolan North and Nolan North

My sister was watching "Pretty Little Liars", a show for preteen girls, yesterday and when I walked into the room I saw Nolan North on the screen. I didn't believe my eyes, so I checked IMDB and it was him. Not only is he voice acting in so many games that his voice is being repeated, but now he's moving on to conquer cable television networks like ABC family. lmao

2 Nolan Norths? The prophecy has come true!

For some reason I imagine this is what Nolan North is like in reality...
