While I expressed some minor concern last night with Ninja Theory's new title, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, I feel a lot better but a little surprised by the new E3 2010 trailer.

While I no longer feel worried about the characters in Enslaved, for it seems that they are as well developed as they were in Heavenly Sword, I was a little surprised by just how human the main character, Monkey, is. Allow me to explain: from the descriptions that I had read and the synopsis given by the developers in interviews, I was under the impression that Monkey was more of a Tarzan-like character who didn't speak much. Turns out... he sounds rather... well spoken... educated even! This was largely the basis of my concern but it seems I no longer have anything to worry about.

Enough of my rambling. Make the jump and check out the new trailer for one of my most anticipated action games of 2010.

The premise for this game is very intriguing but great premises are ruined, all the time, by spotty implementation. So let's just hope that the gameplay is as good as the setup for it.

Considering the fact that this was greatly inspired by the chinese folklore, journey to the west, I hope monkey is similar to how he was in the story; light hearted humor with an almost unpredictable nature to him.

Similar to shingo katorii's performance in Japan's version of journey to the west, Saiyuki.

I like the I Am Legend feel to it but i wonder were they will go with it as the premise does not give much room for groundbreaking stories or ideas. I will definateley play it though and i hope it proves me wrong!

I really like how they have a dependence on each other for if Monkey dies then the girl will not be able to survive and of course if she dies then Monkey dies from being enslaved to her.

Kinda confused about how Monkey didn't seem very angry towards the girl, I mean he could easily beat her til she frees him, so it must be more complicated, right? Someone wish to fill me in on that?

I never actually played Heavenly Sword, I'll have to pick it up sometime. It looks really nice, but so do a lot of games. I want to get my hands on this, I await a demo.

I'm looking for some righteous platforming, which would be rad with a character named Monkey. Seems pretty cool.
