I'm getting a Prince of Persia 2008 vibe from enslaved. Combat looks like it could be loads more fun than PoP though and I'm hoping that they explore that relationship between the main controllable character and the girl.

Little Big Planet 2 looks interesting, as long as they add more stuff that couldn't have been passed off as DLC, I think it could be a good sequel.

I agree with Enslaved = PoP 2008, and the whole your life is my life thing tells me this is just a giant escort mission. Nothing wrong with that in theory, but if the controls are bad and the game is just not fun to play then I don't see how people will stick to it.

Meat Boy looks great. Love the homage to old school games in there, and the unlockable characters make it even cooler. I've been looking for a frustrating platformer to get into and I think that Meat Boy might be my gateway.

Not much else to say about LBP2 other than it looks great. I think the making whole games statement might be a stretch but I like what I see so far.

Limbo is creepy and yet oddly appealing to me. Using bodies to cross water? Yeah that's spooky. I do have to say I like the art style, but I can also see that as a hindrance. It seems like it might get hard to look at for a long time.

The Humble Indie Bundle is the Indie Orange Box. Great games go great together.

    Wow, Limbo is very pretty...

Can't wait for LBP2, but that goes without saying! Also intrigued in Enslaved, but as you guys are saying, it does look comparable to PoP2008, which isn't always a good thing...

I’m really tentative on Enslaved....I don't want to pounce on it before I see more, but to me it seems like another generic take on Xiyouji / Journey to the West. Here are the two main reasons I feel this way...

First off, yet again the character of the monk Xuanzang / Tripitaka has been changed into a woman who needs protecting, as is often the case in Journey to the West "re-imaginings", and forces the Sun Wukong / Monkey character into the role of protector. While it's nice to see another female character in a lead role in a game, I feel this is a step in the wrong direction. By being stuck with the Xuanzang role, "Trip" (...get it? ugh) is put in the position of being yet another female character reduced to the supporting role...apparently all she can do is stun enemies, so that's even a step down from other female characters in games with similar escort designs, such as Dead Rising, and barely above characters like Ashley in Resident Evil 4. If they're going to change things up and deviate from the Journey to the West storyline regardless, then why not switch up the roles and have the female lead protecting the male lead? I guess if modern gaming conventions hold out, then the choice for a female lead wouldn't be too popular either though.....we'll still remember you fondly Bayonetta.

My second reason for feeling that Enslaved is a bit generic is in Ninja Theory's choice in art direction and setting. It feels like they weren't sure how much to take from Journey to the West and how much to abandon...for example, most of Monkey's look is ripped straight from the Wukong of nearly every other incarnation of him out there, while Trip seems to borrow next to nothing from her counterpart. The world takes many of the jungle and forest settings straight from the story, but then mashes it with futuristic settings. While I feel a combination of dense jungles and dystopian cityscapes is really interesting, most of what was shown in the trailer seemed pretty uninspired, with most of the generic, somewhat goofy-looking robots feeling like they clash aesthetically with the main characters, and especially their surroundings.

One final thing if anyone is still reading this far...the decision to just make Monkey die if Trip dies seems over the top to me, like Ninja Theory is grasping too hard to make this game feel epic in scope. It's a story of two people, one out of place and in danger, and one powerful yet forced to obey....and it doesn't need to be earth shattering to be enjoyable.

And I'm pretty sure Monkey just did the Wilhelm scream in the middle of that trailer....that about sums up my argument on Enslaved coming off as generic right there.

Sorry to double comment, but it's not the Wilhelm scream in the Enslaved trailer, (I should've doubled checked before posting), but that generic scream you hear in Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and countless others when a person falls from a great height...

This one might even be more over-used and generic than the Wilhelm scream, at least when video games are concerned....I know I've heard it in Dark Forces, the Quake 4 trailer I believe, etc.
