A lot of people know about Bionic Commando Rearmed and it's awesome music. But honestly, do you know how awesome? Are you just familiar with Power Plant? It's an awesome song but there's a lot more to the soundtrack than that. Like Rise of the Albatross.

My god, when this song picks up at 1:31 I get the urge to get my ass off the couch and use my Bionic Arm to Swing Kick some dudes in the face.

I know the reason people know Power Plant is because it is the song from the trailer, but that trailer was pretty much the main reason I wanted this game. To this day the trailer is one of my favorite game trailers of all time. They took a lot of time and effort putting it together and it worked out great.

It is also worth pointing out how all the tracks are remixes of songs from the NES game and how they are very faithful to the original. For reference here is the same song David posted but from the original game:

The hilarity is that I was about to do a similar post for the Nier soundtrack.

I'll be interested to see what Grin Fat Shark does with the music in Rearmed 2.

One of the many reasons I love Rearmed is because of the music. While Power Plant is probably my favorite song from the OST Rise of the Albatross is just as awesome once it picks up its pace.

Fuck fuck fuck. STILL haven't completed this game. It's going to be difficult to get back into it, not only because it's got a bit of a learning curve, but I was so close to the end as well. Hate it when I do that (Looking at you too Fallout: GOTY edition).

The soundtrack was truly one of the great features of Bionic Commando: Rearmed. I do recall stopping at some points simply to listen to the tunes, or alternatively tried to play the game in sync with the music (Which kind of backfired most of the time, but I did manage some great playthroughs).

Another game I think that has an amazing yet overlooked arcadic/techno soundtrack is Shatter. Heck, I dunno if people even remember the PSN game these days. But you can still purchase and download the full album on their site by clicking the link below. Still kind of amusing that the soundtrack costs more than the game did (Something I think every site continuously pointed out).

    I can't wait for BC:R2
Regarding the soundtrack, to be honest, there was a tad bit too much techno in there :|

Actually playing through the game right now since the mention of the sequel made me get 2 year old nostalgia for it and I started playing it again. Currently about to do Stage 12, top right corner of map. Also doing it on normal since I did it on Easy before. Have to say the game is hard. Even with infinite lives.
I think I like the Power Plant music just because its so catchy also with the trailer they had it was made even better.

Definitely agree, it's an awesome soundtrack. I've been listening to it loads recently. Picked up Bionic Commando (the full 3d game) recently as well, after hearing David's praise of it, and also seeing it at a very good price. Finished it within a couple days, but really really enjoyed it, very underrated. I'd love to see a sequel.
