This week, Travis does his best to claim that Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii is flawless while the rest of us gawk in horror. We also spend some time discussing some more Splinter Cell Conviction, Professor Layton, and Mega Man 10! We spend our time in the news segment discussing the policies of other more "professional" websites in regards to attending Capcom's exclusive media event, Captivate 2010, in Hawaii. O yeah, did I mention that Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was announced? In other news, Brad is perverted and has taken his love for Mass Effect's Liara one step too far. It's a crazy show but we hope you enjoy it!

I have yet to play Monster Hunter Tri, but from the descriptions that I've heard of how it works, Brad and David say it all when they said, "I just wanna go out and kill dinosaurs" while Travis tried to explain that there's a tutorial in the game. Given that, it'd be like if someone dropped you outside of the Vault in Fallout and said, "Go." That's now how you play the game; you go through the tutorial, so you understand how the game works, and THEN you go do the cool stuff. You don't just jump in and, from the word go, say "yay dinosaur slaughter!!" I mean, I hate when someone tells me I'm playing a game wrong, but seriously guys, that's what it really sounds like here.
That said, text boxes without voice acting, kind of annoying. Still, as Travis pointed out, it's the same as Zelda, yet there's no denying that those games are great. I don't have any problem reading text boxes. I mean, I prefer if every little bit of a game has voice acting, but not every game can be made by BioWare. Text boxes without voice acting are a nitpick at best.
Yes, they CAN do it better. Does that make it a worse game than it is? No. It just means it has room for improvement. The way Brad so fervently attacks the game, it makes it sound like an absolutely terrible game that no one can play, and yet Travis proves that people can.
Towards the end of the show, Nick ponders about a Halo 2D game. Some fans made one. It's called Halo Zero or some crap.
There's some discussion about ninjas toward the end of the show; I'd really love a game where you play a peasant villager in feudal Japan that becomes a ninja, in the most literal sense. That'd be pretty cool.
On the technical side of the podcast, David sounded much louder than everyone else, and it sounded like everyone was trying to yell over each over. Like, not even just cross-talk, but it sounded like everyone was literally yelling into the microphones.
That's all I've really got to say. Great show as always, guys.

i agree with dark, it did get to "yelling at each other" but then again, debate and stuff.
Also, after your talk about Dead pool, i kind of had to do something with it.

Fun Fact: If you put this MP3 in Itunes, it says "Nick Henderson's Album" instead of 4 Player Podcast.

Another great show guys
I really like SCC, however as it is a SC game I prefer the layout and options of the previous games. I am glad the story is much better than the others, but the thing is they could have done another Splinter Cell game (the way they usually are) and the dramatic change could have been a completely new Tom Clancy IP. To end my debate about it is as a game its a 9.5, as a Splinter Cell 8.5.
