Dang, I'd love to buy the Japanese version Valkyria Chronicles the case art and instructions look really nice and are all different pictures instead of the same two images reused over and over on the NA version. Oh, colored instruction manual?! Awesome.
Their supermarkets seem much more... I guess organized and tidy then they are here.

I hope we get to see you go to a GOOD Sushi bar, and let us see what its like, or perhaps a Ramen Stall.

I like how both videos ended with "____ it up." Eat it up on the first and cat it up on the second. David's really Japaning it up over there. =P

Where's that highlight of Brad yelling at the weebo's.....?
Please watch it before you comment..

dang. Even groceries are expensive. There is no refuge! Surely there are some lower end grocery stores or farmers markets somewhere where everything isnt so nice and neat and prices are lower

You actually can get that little art book in English, but you had to pre-order the game to get it, unfortunately.

Your camera really does have great quality. These videos are awesome, keep it up. :D

that store looked deserted, creepy

What kind of camera do you use for the videos? The quality is really great.
Love that grocery store already, everything looks so perfect. The apples look so much more like apples than they do over here in the states. Perhaps you could start an Eat it Up series of videos where you pick a different item from that store and eat it?
I'm glad, and apparently the drawers are as well, that you got a copy of IdolMaster. How did giving Valkyria Chronicles as a gift go?

Damn this makes me really miss Japan. I've toured Europe and Australia which were both absolutely amazing experiences in their own, but mostly from the standpoint if you're going on vacation. Japan had the same appeal, but for some reason it makes you feel like you wish you lived there instead of the U.S. I've lived all my life in Connecticut as a white boy that had no experience with Asian culture previous to my 3 weeks in Japan (I hadn't even bothered to watch anime, which I still don't like, sorry anime fanatics).
Yet, this foreign, strange country appealed to me in every way possible, the beautiful countryside to the bustling cities, the unique architecture and religions, the absolutely delicious and healthy food, the whole experience just makes me want to learn Japanese and pack up my things to head over there, even though I would stick out like a sore thumb. I can't really list any cons about Japan besides the anime and me not being able to understand the language, the country just presents itself so well.

The supermarket looks pretty much like a T&T here in Western Canada. Actually, all our grocery stores are pretty neat and tidy.

It's funny you should mention the apples, since, most likely, those apples are imported from the US (and perhaps China). I think the US is the largest apple--producer in the world (at least second I'm sure). So, most likely, those are the same Fuji apples you can get in HEB, except that they've traveled much, much longer to get to the Japanese supermarket.
The fish section on the other hand...
Man, I really do wish we Americans consumed more small, oily fish. They are tough to find fresh outside of specialty grocery stores here. Sigh. Back to my canned herring.

The chain store "Whole Foods" has a lot of fresh fruit and fish that they obtain locally (as long as you live next to the ocean/lake). I usually go there for my shopping needs since hardly anything there is treated with vaccines and pesticides. So that's where you could obtain quality groceries for the right price.

This is why you don't shop while your hungry. I, luckily, had just eaten lunch before I watched this. I prefer the other vids though, fuck the food gimme more environmental vids. Houses, living conditions, streets, etc...
