Sweep the leg!

The "sweep the leg" scene is iconic, but I fear people have focused so much on those three famous words that they've forgotten how amazing the whole thing is, e.g. the Cobra Kai runt cheering on the decision to sweep said leg.

Does anyone know where I can buy an 80s-esque jacket with the Cobra Kai logo on the back? Sadly, I'm willing to spend quite a bit of money on this.

Arn't they remaking the Karate Kid? And I heard Jackie Chan will play the role of Mr. Miyagi if they plan on doing so.

I watched this movie a bunch of times, the second one too, I can't remember if I saw the third, great movies.

Yeah, the remake is called the Kung-Fu Kid starring Jaden Smith, Will Smith's son. Will Smith is producing it, I believe.

While I was looking for something to watch on TV a few months ago I stopped on The Karate Kid. My dad who was sitting next to me sighed then said "Turn it on something else" when I asked why he replied with "I've seen this movie with you and your brothers to many times." As for the sequels I've seen two twice, never watched the third one, and I've seen the fourth quite a bit.

And Pally I looked for a jacket but couldn't find one. I found some shirts and a hoodie but no leather jacket. I did however find a picture on Flickr of a guy wearing what looked like a leather jacket but it could have been the hoodie.

I don't know how it's in english but, here, in spain, it's.. dar cera pluir cera D;

I was beaten to it. And yes, I remember this movie. But I only remember it because I saw it a couple years back and finally understood the the "sweep the leg" line. And now I just think it's iconic and funny. So, meh.

Hillary Swank wasn't a bad karate kid. I liked her movie. Very 90s, but, hey.

i remember that movie,i saw the 2nd one last week on tv,both are great,but i prefer the 1st one better.I haven´t seen the 3rd and 4th yet,dunno why but i cant stand a girl instead of daniel

Grew up with these movies, in fact I grew up with the shitty NES game too, heh. I think the most amusing bit of trivia I heard about these films is that Pat Morita (aka Mr. Miyagi) did not actually know any karate.

Grew up on these movies, too. You know the remake will be terrible. Possibly Dragonball Evolution terrible.
