...you can find horrifying things.
Whether it's people who love to make sexy time with animals or ladies who eat poo from a cup, if something exists, there is someone on the internet who likes it.
But let's change gears for a second. Have you ever fantasized about a developer dream team working on one of your favorite video game franchises? A team, that if you hand picked it, would make the coolest video game ever? I dream of a Phantom Dust sequel where Kojima does the cut-scenes, Matsuno and Bioware work on the story, Kamiya does the combat, Blizzard does the loot (yes loot!), Bungie does the online matchmaking, Bethesda makes it open world, and Square does a job class system. That's the Phantom Dust 2 I want to play.
Now what if there is someone out there who thinks Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is a dream come true? Someone who thinks the shittiest Castlevania ever is amazing, and someone who would love the Jericho developer, MercurySteam, to work on a new game in the franchise...
Well, I found something frightening sitting in a Giant Bomb forum thread titled "Games You Love But Everyone Else Hates". This post was made prior to E3 where Lords of Shadow was announced to be 1) a Castlevania game, and 2) a game developed by the Jericho guys.
Well my good friends, I give you... the Internet:
It's true you CAN find anything on the Internet.
...no matter how bizarre.

The worst thing in that little comment picture about the person liking Jericho is that he has a Kos-Mos avatar :|

There are so many things wrong with that post its mind-blowing.

Brad give it up you didn't make even a fraction of a fuss over Castlevania Judgement compared to Lords of Shadow and I doubt even MercurySteam can make a game worse than that.

wow jericho fanboys, that scares me more than ghost recon lovers...

Brad did hated Castlevania Judgment.

You have to look at some comments on the Jericho review on GT.com....
There were so many Jericho fanboys that were bashing the review...

Ratfoot? Is there something to "give up"? I'm waiting to make my peace about this in an article that I will write when I finish Jericho and Scrapland, but you seem to want my opinion about certain things now. So I will give a shorthand version of the part you brought up.
Yes, Castlevania Judgement is pretty shitty.
1. It also isn't a real 3d Castlevania. It's a fighting game.
2. It's on a pretty iffy console.
3. Igarashi said for years he was not interested in the Wii.
4. It sounds like this was something Konami just really wanted done, and Igarashi was used as a figurehead.
5. Igarashi is just a producer on the game.
6. Much of the core Igarashi team did nothing on this project.
7. Development and game design were done mostly by the studio '8ing' (Eighting). These guys have a history of making fighting games (mostly Naruto and Bleach), many for the Wii.
8. Konami has been doing a piss fucking poor job of supporting any Igarashi project for years. Castlevania hasn't sold in Japan or the West very well for years. My guess is he gets the same budget he does for his fucking DS titles.
Do your fucking research. How many of these games have you played?

Wow, that Phantom Dust 2 sounds great. Each area that the game developers in shines in and all combined. Hopefully it'd be the class system of FFT instead of Tactics Advanced.
What's even scarier is that I know a few people that thought Jericho was a great game. They swore it was a great FPS, yet they didn't like Bioshock that much.

I think I died inside.
I mean the word choice he used, "amazing". Why didnt he say it was just okay. No he said it was amazing.

Oh my God, why the fuck is this post neccesary. We get it your pissed off about the new Castlevania, get over it. From what I heard previous 3D castlevanias were shitty anyway, so why are you so worried about this game. Yeh Jericho is a piece of shit but so were previous 3D castlevanias.
So as I see it this game has the potential to be slightly worse than other 3d castlevanias, the only reason your giving this one so much crap is because its not made by konami

^ So. Much. Stupidity.
Ugh
Please let me know next time you are in chat on the feed, so you can justify your stupid comment in person. Pointing out the many problems with you comment is too time consuming in text.

Yes, come on people. We KNOW Castlevania has the potential to be shitty (even in the hands of Konami). But I mainly think Jericho's shittiness is more due to budgeting restraints and just bland writing (read: Clive Barker himself). This could go either way, but honestly I'm worried that such a small and inexperienced company is just going to be left scratching their head. I'd like to see somebody from Konami explain to me WHY they made such an odd decision in developers...

For those who do not get the joke:

Well here I go. I loved Castlevania 64, it was really my first castlevania. I bought an N64 when it first came out. I was about 14. Games came out very slowly as most new consoles have that problem. I played through it at least 3 times. Jericho? yup, liked that one too. I don't have any excuses for that one. A friend let me borrow it. It had clive barker creatures and a playable campaign. I even started it a second time to get achievements but I can't play SP games more than once anymore.
