I can't help but feel a certain amount of pride. Asian Pride.

Not AZN Pride, the Asian one. While watching the new Star Trek movie and enjoying it, I was thoroughly surprised to see John Cho in the movie.

I was aware of the character Asian American character Hikaru Sulu, It never dawned on me they would have to cast him in the new movie as well.

I'm not very familiar with the original series, but I was shocked when about half way through the movie, it was he that saved the day. Without mentioning spoilers, he and a few group members are sent on a mission to disable something. In a fury of karate kicks and sword techniques, it is he, the Asian actor who defeats the bad guys.

John Cho, you've come a long way from being the MILF guy in American Pie and Harold Lee in Harold and Kumar. You're probably the most well known Asian actor in America right now, enjoy it buddy. You've earned it.

David

I would also I like to point out that the original Actor George Takei is Japanese American, while Cho is Korean-American. It's fine that they're changing it up. But since they not going for complete accuracy, I would like to throw my name in the ring. Should John Cho hold out for more money in the next movie, I am fully qualified and available to fit the stereotype even though I'm Chinese American.

Oh yeah, Eric Bana....still a horrible Actor.
