Tekken 6 and pretty CG.

This was the video I was trying to get downloaded from the XBL/PSN marketplaces last night, but apparently they took it down.

Does this video excite me? No. I could care less about the story. But I guess this exists to get more casual players interested in the game. Really there is no amount of cg or gameplay footage they could show me (at least they way they present it) that would interest me in the least. I know what Tekken 6 is. There are no secrets here like in other games. There is no unknown. In fact, the game has been out for a year and a half in arcades. So what could they do?

Namco should host an event where some of the best people in the world are invited to play the game. They should take footage from some of the closest, and perhaps flashiest, matches and send out high quality videos of them to all the blogs and sites. It's ballsy sure, but it actually shows Tekken as what it is, a deep fighting game.
