I think people misunderstand me when I write about the Women I Gave My Heart to. I especially think they misunderstand when they see me watching Idolm@sters/Jpop videos of cute girls who may or may not be underage. I'm not denying that those things interest me. I love cute things. As weird and different as it is for a 6"2", 27 year old Chinese Man to like those things, I honestly do.

A point I'm trying to make in this weeks discussion is that not everything is about sex. A lot of life is sure. I won't try to argue that Japan is less sexual than America. I'm sure there are people out there who watch what I watch and get something completely different out of it. I used to think I should hoard Japanese pop and try to keep it out of the hands of perverts. But I can't judge who is and who isn't. All I know is myself. Here is my conclusion.

Humans want what they can't have. They strive for that. Like reaching for the moon. I can never be a cute Japanese girl. Before you start going off saying stuff like David is a homosexual. Or David wants to be a woman. Look at it for it's basic function. I admire something so I imitate it.

Have you never made wings out of paper and put them on your back pretending to fly. Can a monster dream?

Some people like it. I've had people say it's hilarious. Others call me a perv or ask what's wrong with me. The point I would like to make here is that there is a misunderstanding. People don't understand. Why does this person like these things? They don't comprehend the situation so their first reaction is to be against it. I've reacted the same way with things I didn't agree with. It's a quite normal human reaction.

The truth is, the female form is beautiful. Really, I'm talking to all the girls and women who read this blog and who may eventually read this blog. You are beautiful. Just because you were born a female you are infinitely more beautiful than a man. No one wants to look at a man's body. We're gross and hairy and protruding. If you've ever seen that episode of Seinfeld, where they compare a man and a woman's bodies. Men are like a utility vehicle, used primarily to get around and get stuff done but not to be admired and displayed.

So how does this come into play with how females are viewed. It's difficult because on the one hand, we want to look at women and admire them for being more beautiful. Then as a society we're learning not to objectify them and treat them as pieces of meat. On top of that you have people, both men and women, who will use that beautiful to exploit others. It's all a very confusing mess and there are certain things we think are ok to say, but when you really think about it, it's pretty fucked up.

To be continued,
David
