Moving Forward w/ the Revival Club Podcast

Last night marked the second episode of our "Revival Club Podcast" in which we discussed our in depth impressions of Splinter Cell Double Agent. It was a fun show to record and I am really looking forward to the future of this project. During the show, we put up a poll to help us decide which game we would play next because we had reached a bit of a stand still. At the end of the show, we had officially decided on the next two episodes which will be recorded in April & May respectively. So here you have it:

Episode 3: Jade Empire - I have a strong love for Bioware and a tremendous respect for their game design philosophy. I have owned Jade Empire since day 1 and have always wanted to finish it. The game mixes role playing and character interaction of KoToR with a new ancient Chinese setting to give players control one of several martial arts masters. The story, setting, and combat was also gripping so I look forward to finally playing through this from beginning to end. Should be a good show.


Episode 4: Parasite Eve I & II - I don't too much experience with Parasite Eve but I have wanted to give it a try for years. Back when Squaresoft was still awesome, they produced a game that mixed elements of survival horror, one of my favorite game genres, with various action-RPG characteristics. It had an interesting looking character in a unique universe. This game was actually going to be the subject of Episode 3 but we decided to push it back in order to complete both the original and its sequel. We did this because the sequel is drastically different from the original. Expect this one to be a bit longer than usual but it should make for some really interesting discussion.

I think the show might become a really fun addition to our podcast portfolio! I encourage everyone to track these games down, play through them and post your impressions and feedback in the forum!
