Over the last year or so, I'm become very desensitized to the games industry. I seemed to be interested in posting about girls or anime. The guys I do the show with took concern because they wondered if I was getting out of games all together. Losing interest in what the show was all about would be disastrous. Obviously I couldn't do a show about something I cared little about.
Let me assure you. I've never lost my interest in games. There has just been a decline in games that I'm interested in. The titles that truly garner my attention are fewer and father between. A lot of this has to do with Nintendo. They resorted in even more going back to capitalize on past successes. They've always been a company to sell you something you bought already and with the Wii and DS success, it's more of the same. It feels like Nintendo is getting lazier and sloppier. The new play games are the least amount of work they could get away with. Animal Crossing last year was basically a clone. This year is shaping up to be a real bummer as well.
I will never give up and I'm not one to write anyone off forever. But I am kind of at a loss at what to feel and what to work towards. There are a few games that I find different and new. When I think about them, I'm enveloped in the fire that few can understand. They are just so hard to come by that it is easier just to pretend not to care.
New Zelda Looks Uninteresting,
