2008 Was a year that will plague me for the rest of my gaming life. All year, I had to endure as Brad and David constantly poked fun at the fact that I played and enjoyed (to a degree) "The Bourne Conspiracy". While I do believe that Brad has a genuine appreciation for the Bourne license, I can't help but shudder at the possibly of another year of Bourne jokes.
But.... It's going to happen.
After the Activision-Blizzard debacle from last year, the rights to the Bourne franchise were sold back to Ludlum entertainment. Luckily, Ludlum Entertainment has now sold the rights to Starbreeze studios, the developers of "Chronicles of Riddick", who are already hard at work at the next Bourne game. Needless to say... this makes me happy.
I am really excited to see what exactly this team can do with the franchise. It is always fun to watch multiple studios handle the same IP. I have faith in Starbreeze and I hope that they work their asses off to acquire the right to use Matt Damon's likeness because lets face it... the other "generic" Bourne was crap. Lastly, they better stick to action/adventure genre and not do something lame like.... make a Myst knockoff. (sorry Mr.Damon) You haven't heard the last of this from me, I assure you.
