The Dark Knight was a film that changed the way I look at movies. The writing and the brilliant performances that brought it to life made me a Batman fan and immediately erased the horrid memories of Batman Forever and that shitty movie with George Clooney from my mind. Batman's video game history has been more reminiscent of the old Batman movies than of the new. I have been following the development of "Batman: Arkham Asylum" since its announcement last year and am becoming increasingly optimistic. Take one look at this new trailer and you will understand why.

In addition to the high production values, the story looks like it can run with the best of them. Most importantly however is the return of the original voice actors from "Batman: The Animated Series", Kevin Conroy (Batman/Bruce Wayne) and Mark Hamill (The Joker). Their presence seems to mix nostalgia with the darker, more twisted tone of "The Dark Knight". The trailer also finally reveals some game play which looks pretty solid from an outsiders perspective. Of course, the truth will come when I get a controller in my hand. For now, my anticipation grows and I hope that many of our viewers and listeners are willing to give this game a chance despite the series rocky history.

Expect a full blown post about what my hopes and dreams are for this game.
