Out Today: Animal Crossing Wii

I've got a very important decision to make today. Animal Crossing: City Folk? After watching the above trailer, I'm thinking yes. I'm totally into talking to cute Japanese Girls and having dinner with them. If that's what Nintendo is promising with this title, I'll be buying a few of them.

But honestly, I'm a little intrigued by what will actually be new in this title. I'm curious to try out the online portion with Wii Speak, but I'm not sure how exactly that will work out. Animal Crossing has built on itself slowly. The improvements from the GameCube to the DS were needed, but the small screen, janky graphics, touch controls, and iffy online play really made the experience a little less enjoyable. I was a little timid to try to get on board with this new one, but I remember a lot of the problems with the DS online play was the inability to communicate effectively. Essentially all these probems would be fixed with the Wii version. This would be the first "online" Wii game for me. I'd be able to experience first hand the Wii friend Code problems.

I'm really thinking about picking up this one today, but a lot of my decision relies heavily about the online component, so let me know if any of you guys are picking it up with Wii Speak.
