Several times I've thought about giving the DS game Luminous Arc a try. Brad's been able to talk me out of it, arguing that it's just a stereotypical mediocre RPG with more generic Japan Art. Although there are tons of other Japanese games that look like it, I've always liked the style and character design for the series and felt that it stood out in some way.

This week, Luminous Arc 2 comes out for Nintendo DS and with Pre-Orders you get the soundtrack and a "Luminous Art" book. It features art like the picture above and consists mainly of profiles for the characters in the game. I'm not too sure how I feel about art books anymore. I used to be huge into trying to collect every little thing. As I've gotten older, those urges have subsided and I'm proud of the adult/buyer I've become. I also do kinda miss those days when I would be up to my eyes in games and collectibles. But the stress of trying to keep up with everything was overwhelming.

Anyways, enjoy the wallpaper if you like it. I had to play a puzzle piece game to get it off the Luminous Art 2 official site. I'd like to hear your opinions on Japanese style and artwork and how they could change it to make things different.

Next time I'll talk about APB,
David
