I was listening to IGN Game Scoop today and they were discussing the pre-TGS event that Bandai Namco was having yesterday. Much to my surprise, Tekken 6 did make an appearance. More specifically Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. Namco made the announcement that the console version of Tekken 6 will not only contain all the content from the Bloodline Rebellion expansion, but that they will other bonus content just for the console version.

The Tekken 5 expansion, Dark Resurrection, saw the return of fan favorite Armor King, so I'm hoping to see one of the lovely ladies pictured below as this "bonus content" in the home version of Tekken 6. Neither have been in the series since Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 2 before that, so I would love to see a return. Kunimitsu would be much more likely the case, as Michelle fights very much like her daughter Julia. But seriously, Wang is still around and I believe he is over 100 years old... Just bring back my foxy ninja(with a mask-less outfit as well).

Oh and by the way... Alisa Boskonovich, the new android maid girl has a move where in she removes her head and hands it to the player, only to have it explode in their face. So yeah, I'm glad they confirmed we are getting the new characters in the Playstation 3 version.

This might not all be good news, as I do have one fear about this extra content. I am really really scared Namco might throw in a Tag mode. They made an extremely half assed tag mode for Soul Calibur 4, and I'm worried they might do the same for this game. Tekken, or I should say fighting games, are not strong enough for another "spin-off" like the first Tekken Tag Tournament (TTT). Also, Namco brought back a lot of characters that never made it into Tekken 3 and updated their move lists dramatically. Since there are very few characters who have not made it back into the series since TTT, there might not be a reason for another full game. This worries me greatly since TTT is one of my favorite games of all time. TTT was a game completely designed around this tag mode, and is, in my opinion, the best implementation of a Tag mode I have ever seen in a fighter. I really don't want this mode shoe-horned into Tekken 6.

Yeah...
