Traveling in Fallout 3. I hate relying on maps. I want to know where I am at all time without using a map. I know in the real world this isn't easy, but this isn't reality. In the Lord of the Rings, the characters are so obsessively familiar with all aspects of their sorrounding. They trek hundreds or thousands of miles and they don't really need a map. This isn't because they walk aimlessly though. They are very familiar with landmarks and terrain.
