Could Endless Ocean be coming to the PS3? Not quite. I just noticed a new trailer for a game called "Aquanaut's Holiday" for the PS3. First and foremost, this game strikes me as a prettier, snazzier version of Endless Ocean, a game which was released on the Wii last year. Remember that game? The "point and swim" adventure that allowed players to explore the ocean and "pet" fish along with your cute, penguin owning, "girlfriend" who can't swim. Yeah.. thats the one. I bought this game. David bought this game. I played it for 5 minutes. However, I have an oddly placed appreciation for this game. The game is beautiful, its different, and it is above all else, relaxing. The thought of playing a similar game on a much more powerful system is kind of enticing. Here are my thoughts:

- What I have dubbed "Nature exploration", is becoming a genre trend in the industry with games like Endless Ocean and Afrika being developed. This is definitely a young concept being implemented with this amazing technology.

- Of course, I don't intend to, or expect anyone, to spend $60 on a "game" like this. This game better be released at a budget price if they expect it to sell at all.

- I hope that this won't simply be a picture taking scavenger hunt like Pokemon Snap or Endless Ocean but will instead introduce a new take on the gameplay for the genre. Perhaps put players inside deep sea diving vehicles and allow them to venture to the dark depths of the ocean in search of new species or ship wrecks.

Anywho, check out the trailer. Ill have my eye on this one.
