2008 So Far - The ones that slipped by...

So on Sunday we recorded our Top 5 Games of the Year so far. Nick will have the episode up soon, so check it out if you are curious about those. Aside from the games that I picked up earlier this year but need to play more of, there are a few other games that came out in 2008 that I feel I missed out on.

Most of these games I'm just waiting on the price to drop and/or the time to play. Here is a list of 5 of the games I am most curious about but have yet to purchase. Leave a comment if you have an opinion on any of these games, as you may help me decide which to pick up.

Audiosurf - I've heard so many good things about this game. I really really would love this on XBLA. What is that Steam thing everyone keeps talking about? :( God my laptop is teh suck; I doubt I could even run this game.

Burnout Paradise - Burnout 3 is my favorite racing game ever, and among my favorite games of all time. The premise of the open world really turned me off from getting this entry, but the price is low now. I think I'll be picking this one up soon.

Civilization Revolution - This is a series I know I will adore once I get past the steep barrier of entry. Apparently history was a major part of my education, so I should be really get into all that crap. I know this is the streamlined Civilization game to get me in to the series once and for all, so I need to pick this up. Just waiting for a price drop.

Rainbow Six Vegas 2 - I love a good multiplayer shooter, but sadly, I never play them. I've always felt that if I don't have to time to get really really good, then I shouldn't even bother playing. But that's multiplayer. RSV2 has online co-op through the story mode, and I definitely want to try it out. Again, just waiting for a price drop.

Wipeout Pulse - I'm not the biggest Wipeout fan in the world, but I hear this is probably the best Wipeout game since XL. I hear the game lets you use your custom soundtracks and that the track even reacts to the music. I also like how the music distorts during jumps. This just seems like the perfect racing game for the PSP, so I'll pick this up when I can find it for 20 dollars or less.
