So you may have already read about the website that went live that hinted at a new game being developed by Ubisoft. A few days ago the new logo was released to the public with the words "Prince of Persia" in a new, whimsical style. This caught my interest but it wasn't until today that I became really excited. So here is the word on the game. This new prince of persia is being developed by the Ubisoft Montreal (the team who did some pretty amazing stuff with Assassins Creed) and will share the same title with the classic trilogy but include a new plot, art style, and gameplay style. According to Kotaku who posted a translated article about the game from a french magazine, the game will be a cel shaded adventure similar to Okami. The games plot centers around a myth regarding two twin gods, Ohrmazd and Ahriman. Apparently, Ohrmazd imprisons his brother in a box hidden in an oasis. Centuries later, an unknowing thief mistakingly releases the god from his prison. Ahriman then recreates the world in his image which plagues the world with corruption. This premise explains why the world will appear dull and lifeless at first but will return to a world of color and beauty as the prince defeats bosses and explores the world.

Ill keep everyone posted.
