Ubisoft Montreal has been hard at work at the new Far Cry game that is expected to hit consoles this year. The game still looks amazing and I can't wait to see if it plays as good as it looks. My only concern is related to the faith that I have in Ubisoft Montreal. I really do have a tremendous amount of respect for the team at Ubisoft, they really put out some quality games. The trailer promises that players are given "the freedom to play the game the player wants to play in the way they want to play it". This is a great premise but it is still the same promise the team made with Assassin's Creed which fell a little short of that promise. The team does a fantastic job of creating huge, detailed, beautiful environments but can the team still tell a good story and while allowing players to exercise this level of freedom?
