Import Friendly?

So in all my recent discussion about the PS3 and whether or not the region free capabilities would be useful, I've finally found a game that's caught my interest. Arc System Works is primarily known for their Guilty Gear series. But they did work on a semi 2.5 D fighter called Battle Fantasia. The game is played in 2D but all the character models are 3-d. I've never liked this style because personally it feels like character movement is more sluggish. I've always been interested in trying out the game though. The game is being released 05.29 in Japan for both Xbox 360 and PS3. Since the PS3 is region free and I already have two Hori sticks it seems like a perfect fit.
