Manga, Anyone?

Last night, instead of watching Brad trudge through Silent Hill 3, I got wrapped up in finishing what is now one of my favorite manga. I'm not that familiar with the manga world, but I have a feeling that this is a very unknown series. But that doesn't make it any less amazing. I would have to recommend this to anyone who likes well anything good. Forget being a japanophille, or anime fan, or comic reader. If you're alive and have any interest in a good story, interesting characters, or something thought provoking, at least give the first couple chapters a read.

Parasyte is about these alien pods that come down. Small worm like creatures come out of them and attack a human and take over it's brain. From that point the person is no longer themselves and under the control of the alien. The aliens are able to shape their bodies in to different things like mouths and knives. They blend in and being feeding on the human race. The main character, Shin, is attacked by one of these worms, is lucky or unlucky enough to get it lodged in his arm and avoids being completely overcome by the parasite. The alien being takes over his right arm and the series progresses forward as the two must coexist by not only avoiding other humans but infected ones as well.
