New games every week; every week new, sweet, entertaining, brain-rotting video games. So many in fact, that we often forget those "gems" behind during our end-year deliberations. Not anymore. Each week, I'll be highlighting my favorite game released; this way: the commenters have a target to flame, I have some notes for end-year headaches, and we all have fun!

Truth be told, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has a slew of problems; it's camera is all-over-the-place-poor, and chopped-up rubble traps the player behind jagged geometry far too often, for example. Still, Revengeance deserves this Weekly more than Crysis 3? How so?

Revengeance is a ridiculous, stylistic, action thrill-ride that never ceases to entertain, as every Kojima Metal Gear title is expected to be. Platinum's combat system isn't so shabby either and that helps the game pass at Flash-like speeds, leaving you hungry for more. The ninja-blade slow-mo combat mechanic keeps slices exhilarating, satisfying, and interesting as you fight past the largest of enemies.

Metal Gear Revengeance has a style and sensibility that I can't help but enjoy. Not every game transcends it's flaws, through creativity and style, like this joint does. It's narrative is riddled with allegory and ties current world-issues into a universe where running up skyscrapers is an afternoon jog. It's not quite like anything else.

That's why it's this week's Weekly. Till next...

Shout-out to Chai Tai for the chat about MGR:R, it helped convince me of awarding this Weekly.

Have been looking for games that are quick to finish but are still fun. Getting tired of games that take 30+ hours to finish (too many RPG's in my collection I have noticed)

Revengeance looks like a pretty cool game, one that I am certainly going to be looking into getting. Sounds like a fun time to be had, and definitely one I need to add to my collection.
