New Project Awakened Video Demonstrates Create-A-Player Customization, Superpowers

Last week I came to you all with a plea to back a fantastic game concept from developer Phosphor Games.  Today I return and this time with even stronger reasons to support this Kickstarter project.  Above you will bear witness to a portion of the game's character customization options and while there are no demonstrations of female characters (this is a prototype after all) the potential is simply through the roof for just who you can create or even recreate from popular fiction.  Go ahead, rewatch the video a couple of times to see just how many characters in there you recognize.  Superman?  Check.  Batman?  Check.  Snake Eyes?  Hell yeah.  Cloud Strife?  Yeah, buddy.

Beyond just the character creation system, Phosphor also showcased some proof-of-concept footage of some of the game's various superpowers.  Everything from heat vision to invisibility and teleportation is included.  It's really freaking cool.

If this isn't enough to get you to pull out your checkbooks, consider this: in the coming days, Phosphor will be unveiling an Unreal Engine 4 video soon to show off some of the Awakened's artwork.  If you are still on the fence perhaps you should watch the pitch video again which I've included below.  The game has earned over $100k and has twenty days to go so please, people, for the love of god, support this project. 

Seriously, go there and back the project.  Because I know where you live.  And it would just be a shame if something bad happened to [INSERT SENTIMENTAL OBJECT HERE].  Yeah, go ahead and fill in that last part there for yourself and feel the fear.
