New games; every week. Every week; new, sweet, entertaining, brain-rotting video games. So many infact, that we often forget those "gems" behind during our end-year deliberations. Not any more. Each week, I'll be highlighting my favorite game released ; this way: the commenter have a target to flame, I have some notes for end-year headaches, and we all have fun!

Jan 8, 2013 marks the start of "The Weekly's" sweet-pickings, and I have to say, it wasn't hard deciding on NOT wanting to play Anarchy Reigns. Something about... saving my brawler stomache rumblings for DMC, which hits next week. Instead, I pocketed a majority of the money I would have spent on Anarchy Reigns - which I intend on eventually getting to, before years end (I love Platinum Games) - and tossed a few "bucks" at Semi Secret Software, for this week's Weekly - (this is going to get confusing) - Hundreds [$2.99] on iOS.

It's an excellently simplistic game that challanges reflexes and instinct through simply touching, and not touching, dots. The dots fill with numbers when you touch them; fill the dot collective to equal 100 and win. Sound dumb, right?

It should be, but instead it's totally addictive and engaging. There are these weird encrypted messages, which serve as a sort of anagram-puzzle, and it's tone is entrancing. I've not yet even began to chip away at the game, 2 hours in, due to some welcome challange; so I wouldnt recommend this to anyone who did not like Super Hexagon. Games on iPad have really engaging tactile feedback when done correctly; and this is one of them.

This game, by the way, is done by the same brains behind Gravity Hook and Canabalt. I just thought...I should mention that.

Hundreds may look "casual" but its far from it; rounds get difficult quickly, as they continue to throw monkeywrenches into the mix (or, should I say sawblades?). Needless to say, I'll be playing this over the weekend a lot, and you should too. Check out the trailer, download the game, and leave comments of love...or hate. Whatever.

Till next Weekly...

I wouldn't buy this for iPhone. Not enough screen real estate. Sorry :(
