It's an extended weekend for us here at 4Player. With Monday off, it just means more time for gaming! Here's what we'll be spending out time with.
Carlos Ottino: This weekend I want to play Deus Ex but can't. I have already rented it twice but cannot yet force myself to go to the store and buy it. WHAT TO DO? WHAT TO DO? AUGMENTED? NON-AUGMENTED AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.Because I'm so sad because no Deus Ex, I have been replaying all of my favorite XBLA titles: Super Meat Boy, Trials HD, Bastion AND DEADLIEST WARRIOR. BRING IT. DEUS EX TAKEDOWNS ARE FOR LADIES. PINK KNIGHT DANCES OVER YOUR SEVERED LIMBS.
Joseph Christ: It's a Dead Island weekend for me. I can't say anything at the moment, but I will say that it'll be difficult to pull me away from the game to actually write the review. Look for it to hit the site on Monday.
Brad Simons: Deus Ex, and maybe a little Xenoblade. And I'm sick.
Nick Henderson: I'm a little behind the curve when it comes to Deus Ex: Human Revolution seeing as I just touched down in Shanghai last night so my weekend will consist of plowing through that. After successfully toppling the first boss encounter last night in under 3 minutes on my first try, I am hoping that the boss battles don't give me as much trouble as some people have indicated. I will spend Tuesday and Wednesday getting as far as possible through Dead Island while finishing up Deus Ex as well. It's nice to have so many high profile games coming out because up until now, 2011 was kind of slow.
Nolan Hedstrom: Since I just finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution the other day, and I plan on playing it a little more, I haven't sent it back to GameFly. So I will mess around with Deus Ex: HR a bit cause the game is awesome. I didn't pick up Dead Island, so I wont be playing that, but I kinda want to, I might Red Box it, we'll see how that goes. If all else fails I might end up playing more Fable II, I never finished it mainly cause I got too busy playing other games. What did y'all think of Deus Ex btw? Nick says it might be his new game of the year! Leave me some feedback in the comments, I want to know y'alls opinions!
David Liao: I'm gonna have to finish my first time playing Catherine because of an error I made in cheevo hunting. I'll also be trying to get through some more borderlands co-op. I bought GRAW and Rainbow Six Vegas so I'll probably try those co-op. I've been really wanting to play some Blur, but we'll see if I have any time for that.

Plowing through the massive beast known as Xenoblade. Bought the game on release and have been hooked since. I planned to take my time and finish it before Dark Souls is released, but considering the scale of the game, I'm having my doubts.

Terranigma, flip floping between Morrowind and Daggerfall, and Castlevania: Lament of Innocence because I kinda missed using the sub weapons w/ orbs.

Dragon Age: Origins, baby! And possibly some more Mass Effect 2 and Fallout 3. And when I want to take a break from RPGs, some multiplayer Black Ops and/or Bad Company 2.

Been playing Valkyria Chronicles 2, FF7, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution 2nd playthrough. I'm excited for the DLC which is gonna be released in October so yeah.
I've also been reading the A song of ice and fire collection, very good read.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Metro 2033. I've started New Vegas and Final Fantasies 7-9 but I haven't played them in a long while. Oh, and I just picked up Tactics Ogre for the PSP.

I was listening to Iron Sheik's theme when I saw this post. Freaky. Anywho, I'm probably gonna be playing Folklore on PS3. That game was made before trophies, but is still very good. Reminds me a little of Lost Kingdoms 1 & 2 for the Gamecube.

I finally got Deus ex on tuesday, so I've been playing that like crazy, hopefully finishing it next week, and then try and replay it a different way, gotta say tho, it's in nominees for game of the year for me, I really love it! playing through adept-stealth kind of, lotta vents and picking up stuff, alternative paths and sneaking past enemies with no trouble.
other than that I dont know, probably not getting any new games until dark souls comes out, I am so excited!

I will continue my run through of Castlevania SotN. My first run through and I already figured out how to get the Inverted Castle without a guide. So the argument about modern gamers has just been won by Brad in my opinion.

Just got my hands on Bastion and Capsized, both which I am finding quite enjoyable. I heard the spear is really good, but for the moment, until I find it, I'm giving the War Machete a chance - I like quick hitting weapons. :D I like Capsized's music, and the new take on the Metroidvania levels is a lot of fun.
My REAL fun begins on somewhere between Tuesday-Thursday, though. Disgaea 4!

I'm going to keep playing Battlefield:Bad Company 2, and kill fools online. Finish up my renegade play-through on Mass Effect, then import to 2 and get that done before ME3. Then I'm going to wank to some Alpha game-play footage of Battlefield 3 and pilfer someone's PS3 before Dark Souls comes out. ^.^
