In addition to pondering the meaning of life and the insignificance of our very existence, we give our initial impressions of several big new games. Nick talks Greedfall, a new "Eurojank" RPG, and Brad finally dug into the new Platinum Games title, Astral Chain. Brad returns to Monster Hunter World for the Iceborne expansion and Nolan goes WAY back with Final Fantasy 8 Remastered. Of course... Nintendo is finally getting back into the Fitness market with Ring Fit Adventure on the Switch.

Yo Brad, never stop tormenting the crew with kid show things. As a parent who had to suffer through things like Word Party, it always makes me laugh how clueless they are.

They really need to join the party that just begun. Theres a word for what they could have had, and that word is fun.

I resent these claims on this weeks podcast that I murdered Chris Thacker and stole his identity. I'd definitely never commit such an act, and I certainly wouldn't proceed to hide the body deep in those backwooded areas littered with wild animals, so the body just seemingly disappeared forever, that's just unfathomable.

On a serious note, great podcast this week guys, appreciate all the laughs. A quick question for Nick though, have you seen the planned DLC for Control? Specifically the one called AWE, which shows Alan Wake in the imagery, heavily implying a potential crossover, what are your thoughts on this?

Nick mentioned Gamestop ending up renting games in the future; remember their cancelled plans for that? It was going to be $60 bucks for 6 months, as many used games rented as you want (1 at a time), and at the end of 6 months you would get a used game to keep. I was ready to drop Gamefly but then it never happened.

Interested to hear what Nolan's thoughts are once he gets deeper into Hunter X Hunter. I enjoyed it a lot and it's got some great moments full of hype and emotion and in-depth characters. It's definitely a series that mixes the best but also worst elements of the shonen genre.

Krispy was very eloquently when he was talking about how the US treats unions and the people that want to unionize. A sad state of affairs for workers.

That question and ya'll's responses about using lore to explain lewdness in a game was brilliantly funny. Same with that childhood injury question. Love it when you guys tell non-gaming related stories.

Astral chain has a lot in common with Xenoblade X now that I think about it. Both games have side characters that would make better protagonists than the one you play as. They also both take awhile to give you all the core combat mechanics.
