    Like Krispy, I have recently dived into Destiny 2 and have found myself pleasantly surprised at how much I have been enjoying the game.

    It's my first foray into a "shlooter" so I'm liking the sense of discovery, progression and community.

    One thing that bothers me however is the disjointed nature of the narrative in this game. Destiny has a genuinely interesting setting and backstory. I just wish the game did a better job of telling and interesting narrative and crafting memorable character moments.

    I'm having a great time with Sekiro- but I definitely share Brad's concerns. I prefer to choose how I approach a combat encounter. At times, the combat feels like From Software's take on Punchout. I recently fought a boss that had a thrust attack, I incorrectly jumped instead of mikiri countered, and even though my character was a good 3 feet above their weapon in the air, I still got hit because I hit the wrong button.

    I wanted to point out on the discussion of the Epic Game store that I don't think people are expecting "20 years" worth of features. They're only expecting a paticular set of features that others have launched with. Origins may not have had forum in app but they had links to thier website that has specific sections for each game. It launched with the game sorting and even now has the ability to gift friends and a generous refund policy. Uplay had quite abit of these too. The reason Epic is being picked on over most is that if they seriously chose to advertise being cheaper and how much more the devs make per purchase then I believe a good number of people would have converted on their own. Instead Epic is chose to strong arm and only NOW (Even Bnet had this once they became a download client) added a search bar! Is promising only a few features while saying others will never come, like user reviews? And had now double down on buying further exclusives in the future. Feels like they actually don't care about the customers benefits over the companies. Yeah I know not a big shock but the balance is obviously skewed pretty badly. In the end for myself I guess I'm waiting an extra 6 to 12 months on games or god forbid buying it of the Microsoft store more often now.

    I dont have anything to add regarding the discussions this week, but I did want to comment on one thing:

    Brad - you are absolutely correct about the Captain Underpants movie. If you havent already, you should check out the animated series on Netflix. Its pretty funny as well. My 6 year old loves it and I found it humorous too.

    I've been very critical how Valve have handled aspects of both Steam as well as some of their games (CS 1.6 in particular) over the years, so I'm not writing this to take their side. I buy DRM free when I can. However, I don't think it's meaningful to compare the Epic Games Store with how Steam launched 15 years ago; every other product or service in the gaming space is compared to its contemporaries.

    It is self evident that if Epic can offer developers large sums of money for exclusivity, that they also have the resources to include features such as cloud saves. It is also evident that their approach with their store isn't to entice customers by offering them a better option, but rather being the only option. This attitude of theirs presents itself not only in their choices for the store (such as passing payment fees onto the customer), but also in their public statements.

    The boycotts have taken on a childish form, but they're not unfounded.
