Many of you may be familiar with Discord as it has become a prominent communication tool for strong online communities on Twitch and elsewhere. We are proud to announce that we have been accepted as a Discord Partner and are hereby utilizing this service as a means of bolstering community interaction here at 4Player!

In the coming months, we will be implementing Discord to enhance interaction with our community and the improving the featured content that we produce for both our paid supporters and the community at large! I’m going to keep this short as this is sure to evolve over the coming weeks but here is a brief summary of what Discord will do for the community as well as how it will impact our Paid Supporters who are currently interfacing with us via Slack. This new interface will benefit the community in several ways:

1. Encourages growth and constant connection between members of the community as well as staff!
2. Discord is integrated directly with Twitch and Patreon (coming soon) which will introduce exciting new ways for us to interact with those who follow/support us!
3. Community nights (both official and unofficial) will be easily organized thanks to dedicated subject channels available to our users at all times.
4. The community will benefit from free access to our better quality voice chat services at any time.
5. The improved voice chat servers will make online podcasting easier to record and result in higher quality audio files for everyone to enjoy!

If you are a Patron who currently benefits from access to our Slack channel, you will be receiving an invite to our exclusive Patron Discord channel in the next 48 hours. In this private room, you will benefit from the ability to mention (@) the 4Player staff directly and provide priority feedback for community events and video features.
