Before the amazing 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, in 2010 Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics released a small downloable off brand Tomb Raider game. Titled Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, the game was lauded by critics and has managed to sell over 1 million copies to date. It featured asymmetric co-op gameplay where one player is the eponymous Lara Croft and the other, a centuries old reanimated Mayan warrior. Lara had the ability to run across ropes and jump up short ledges, while the warrior can launch spears Lara can climb over. Combining these abilities was essential for solving clever puzzles located throughout the levels.

Today, the sequel was quietly announced, this time featuring 4 player co-op. While light on details, the trailer seems to promise more of the fun puzzle/platforming found in Guardian of Light. For those that missed the original and have a few friends, this is definitely something to keep an eye on. Listed as coming soon.

I have yet to play Guardian of Light but I've seen Brad play it quite a bit and enjoyed what I saw. I really need to get on that so I can be prepared for this game which looks really fun as well.

Looking forward to this, the jump from 2 player to 4 player seems odd, though.

Looks really cool, 4 players could get a little cluster fucky though.

can we still play with only 2 players? i feel 4 players is a bit much and is also to get 4 ppl to sit down and play a game for a good few hours.
