One of the several announcements made today at Sony's press conference was the announcement that LittleBigPlanet 3 would be coming to the Playstation 4. This new iteration of the LittleBigPlanet series is shaking things up by adding more playable characters alongside Sackboy. There is a fast, wall-jumping sackdog called Oddsock, Toggle is a larger Sackperson able to change his size and move heavy objects, and there is a flying creature called Swoop that can lift other players.

In addition to the new playable characters, Sony also announced that all user created levels from LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2 would be ported over to LittleBigPlanet 3 with upgraded visuals. The best part of the presentation was the fact the demonstrators were actually playing the game and even made several mistakes. All four demonstrators were laughing the whole time and genuinely having fun. We need more of that at E3 instead of the fake, scripted multiplayer dialogue.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is currently expected to release this November.

Wonder how costume-stuff will work on Toggle, since his smaller size is also a different shape.

Also, I think Nolan was right about Swoop probably working the hardest ("Swoop! Come get me!") unless he's just constantly Gary Sinese-ing other players.

I don't really care for little big planet but the people messing up during the demonstration was actually really charming.

Despite being seemingly put-together using old resources and what not, my fanboyism gets me very excited for this. Classic LBP presentation.

ehhh it just seemsl like they ran out of ideas and decided to put in 4 player co-op, i mean what is someone to do if they dont have 3 friends on hand when they want to play? the best implementation of co-op platformer i can think of right now is trine 2. Thats how it needs to be done, as well as 3 characters is much more manageable on a screen. I just dont see this being good for experienced gamers who love platformers, i mean LBP has no enemies, only obstacles.

they also dont have the physics and control

The game looks pretty cool. I'm not the biggest fan of the series but I do love the charm they have. Also, Toggle is my new favorite character.
