So, yeah, yet another Batman game. When this trailer started playing during Sony's press confernece, I was less than thrilled about it. I gotta admit, though, this trailer makes the game look fantastic.

Arkham Knight is the latest game in the Arkham series. Taking place one year after Arkham City, Knight presents a Batman who is now faced with a coalition of villains: The Penguin, Two Face, and Harley Quinn. The Scarecrow also becomes involved when he threatens to detonate several bombs he has placed throughout the city, forcing the civilian population to evacuate. With only criminals and the Gotham Police Department remaining, Batman must set out to ensure the city remains safe.

It's worth noting that, while the evacuation screams of a cop-out for any civilians to be present, Arkham Knight is supposed to be five times the size of Arkham City and, naturally, this means Batman has new modes of transportation. The Batmobile displayed in the above trailer looks absolutely gorgeous as it speeds through Gotham's empty streets and plows through barricades. But then the true focal point of the trailer is revealed: the Batmobile can transform into a god damn hover tank. I dare you to tell me that isn't bad ass.

The end of the trailer reveals a guest appearance from the Scarecrow himself. It was revealed during Sony's conference that Scarecrow Nightmare missions will be exclusive to Playstation 4. Arkham Knight is expected to release sometime in 2015.

Hope the Batmobile controls well. It's gonna look silly if Batman's crashing into things everywhere like it's GTA.

Hoping it does enough new/improved stuff to overcome the Arkham fatigue. Looks great graphically.

I was planning on buying this game, but after that gameplay I am 100% getting this game.

The game looks great. The city looks very rich and alive...but the whole Batmobile thing still doesn't sit well with me. Hopefully its done right and I don't have to rely on it too much.

I was so excited when we see the large Gotham City but what really sold me was the Batmobile gameplay. Also, they way they showed off Scarecrow during the Sony conference was amazing.

Arkham City is one of my favorite games ever, and I've loved Kevin Conroys Batman since the Animated Series, so this is a no-brainer purchase for me. I'm actually not fond of the "Battle Mode" for the Batmobile, I love Batman for his nonlethal methods and refusal to use deadly force, and the Batmobile's battle mode practically screams "MURDER MACHINE". I hope there's nonlethal weapons on it at least, not just big guns and bombs.
