I will make no secret of the fact that Watch Dogs is one of my absolute most anticipated games, and as a result I am totally up for any new trailers released for it... even if they are this trailer, which is awesome but completely CG.

On display here is main character Aiden Pearce using his magic cellphone, baton, and Beretta to dole out some justice to a club full of sickos. This does excite me for one very particular reason: I think Aiden might be Batman. If Batman had a magic cell phone and killed people. Which arguably makes him more awesome.

The fact that this is CG is pretty disappointing, though. Every generation we tell ourselves that graphics have advanced to the point where real-time footage will look CG, and this could have been a big opportunity to prove that. Yes, Ubisoft's tradition is assembling really cool CG trailers for big releases, but breaking tradition in the name of a highly-anticipated cross-generation release would have been nice.

Regardless, as has been stated, this is an awfully cool trailer and is definitely worth a look. It is at the very least indicative of the game's vibe and we have actually seen Aiden perform the shown actions in-game, so its CG-ness shouldn't be an utter disappointment. Also, the quality of that CG! That has advanced quite a bit, at least.

Watch Dogs releases this fall for every home console released or to be released in the last eight years except for the Wii.

If there's one thing ubisoft does well with CG trailers its putting hints of the gameplay inside the video and I like what I see really excited for this.
