As a big fan of the the Arkham games and the Batman franchise as a whole, I've already become quite excited for the October release of Batman: Arkham Origins. After a bit more news and an action-packed trailer, that excitement has even more merit than before.

The excitement of myself, and likely many others, was tempered by the rumor floating around that Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman since The Animated Series, would no longer be voicing Batman due to Origins featuring the character at a younger age. This issue has been complicated somewhat, as according to the man himself at a Dallas Comic Con panel, he returns as the voice of Batman, but multiple reports have come straight out of the game's publisher declaring that Roger Craig Smith will be the voice of Batman and Troy Baker will be the voice of The Joker.

Clearer news came out shortly thereafter that pre-orders of Origins will receive DLC featuring the legendary assassin Deathstroke as a playable character in the game's Challenge Mode, complete with two alternate costumes. Arkham Asylum included Joker levels in the PS3 release, so playing as the villain isn't completely new for this franchise, but Deathstroke's set of weaponry is quite different from the Bat's, so it could offer a very new take on the series' famed combat system.

Last but not least, a new five-minute trailer was just released and it's quite a thrill, complete with slow-motion explosions and a very slick duel between Batman and Deathstroke. Enjoy.

Well it definitely got me excited but I don't see the difference between this Batman and the other one.
