A second trailer for Killer Is Dead, Grasshopper Manufacture's spiritual successor to Killer 7, has arrived. As expected, the fact that it is in English does not seem to have any bearing on whether or not it makes any sense. But the day Suda 51 makes a game that is grounded is the day we lose the industry's resident grindhouse-styled madman, so I say bring it on.

On display here is further excitement from hitman Mondo Zappa, who appears to be on the trail of aliens, and/or a man who has made off with a part of the Earth, or all of the Earth, depending on how literally we're going to interpret the text in this trailer. What we can see for sure is that Mondo is one mean son of a gun with that katana of his, and his awesome arm cannon thing is the coolest arm cannon thing since Barrett's arm cannon thing in FFVII. Speaking of arms: a woman, with a total of sixteen of them, which by Suda's standards doesn't even phase me at this point.

With visuals this slick, action this frantic, and a plot this out there, Killer is Dead seems to be ticking off all of the boxes that make a great Grasshopper/Suda game. Consider me excited.

Congratz on your first article, Zack. You seem like a good writer.

I love Suda 51, and found this to be... cool enough. Don't know why, but what I've seen so far doesn't appeal all that much too me, but that may come at a later time.
