og:image:, TMNT, out of the shadows

Do mine eyes deceive me? Are these simply errant dreams being served up in a half shell? Dreams that will vanish once I investigate closer, leaving me with a mouthful of sand where succulent turtle leavings should be? Or maybe not. Maybe it's true the the result of a little known publishing deal between Activision of Nickelodeon will be a decent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game.

I've already talked about this game a little bit, and though I was apprehensive at first this thing actually looks like it's holding up. The game is a downloadable title called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and is currently in development at Red Fly Studios, the studio responsible for Wii port of Ghostbusters: The Video Game, of which I enjoyed the 360 version and I don't care what you have to say about it.

Out of the Shadows features a third person brawling system reminiscent of both the old Turtles in Time game -but given a 3D flair- and Arkham Asylum. It's quirky, visually entertaining and might -just might- be damn good if what we're seeing so far holds up in the long run.

I know, I know. It's early, and we haven't seen too much yet. But a man can dream right?

Funny story; back in the 80's when the TMNT cartoon first came on, my mother saw the show listed in the TV Guide and asked me if it was a typo because the name was so weird.

I wanna re-watch those live action TMNT movies now. I loved those movies when I was a kid.

This actually looks decent but after playing sleeping dogs I've learnt not all games benefit from Arkham Asylum combat .
