Deus Ex: Human Revolution was, in my opinion at least, a pretty great game and a suitable follow-up to the original Deus Ex. It even had a significantly better first level. Coming soon for the Wii U only is the Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut (I will hereafter ask Joseph to refer to it as DX:HR:DC), which boasts a handful of additions, not the least of which is completely retuned boss fights. Considering the boss fights in DX:HR were widely considered the game's weakest aspect, this is great news. And in the Missing Link DLC, developers Eidos Montreal proved that they really can pull off a boss fight the "Deus Ex way."

However.

What's going on with this trailer? What's with the Kids WB voice over guy? I would really like it if he stopped talking, but considering most of the trailer is stock footage which doesn't seem to actually show off too many of those new features (they mention "stunning redefined graphics," but the visuals look about the same to me) and sort of leaves open to the imagination what those other features are actually supposed to be. Apparently the "neural hub" triggers "an arsenal of new gameplay possibilities," but I couldn't for the life of me make an educated guess on whether or not that translates to anything more than "you select your weapons on the Wii U tablet now."

This wouldn't be quite as offensive if the original trailer wasn't so gosh darn awesome. Take a look and remember it fondly.

The Fox Kids narrator has not sold me on this and if they're going to boast about the "new gameplay experience" with the gamepad, they really should have shown something.

There is something very off about that voice. No idea what though.
