I didn't really enjoy Infinite as much as i was thinking in fact after i beat it I sold it to a friend. Does that make me a bad person <-< maybe.
On the other hand wonderful podcast I enjoyed watching Chris, Jeff, Joseph and 95% of chat get upset it was wonderful :3

Same here, didn't enjoy Infinite as much as I thought i was going (started as high expectations last year and started getting worried a few weeks before launch).
Bought it on Steam so i can't resell it, but i got XCOM and Bioshock 1 out of it!

I really appreciate and respect what you guys do for the gaming community, voicing your opinions and not the publisher's.

Great podcast as usual and I agree 100% with all your issues with Infinite. Another thing to note is that originally the Songbird (Previously just Referred to as "him") was supposed to have multiple encounters with you and judging by whether you attack it or not Elizabeth will either become more hostile or friendly to you. However this feature is completely missing the from the final project.

I was supporting Joseph's screaming fits during the podcast. It's not that I didn't like the criticism for Bioshock Infinite, it's just that the media blackout you guys went through, made you have different expectations of what the game would be. The whole first gameplay demo they released, the bridge and stuff, was absent from pretty much every video and piece of info afterwards. Ken Levine also mentioned in interviews that they couldn't implement many of the ideas they had at the beginning and that they were scrapped.

If you heard the stuff that came out closer to the release, most of it was about Elizabeth, her role, her story, her AI, her interactions. You guys mentioned stuff like not caring about Daisy Fitzroy and the Vox and, while it is a concept deserving of exploration, they are just part of the scenery, they are supposed to be a background entity that has their own problems. Booker has a mission and that mission is getting Elizabeth out of there. I thought it was reflected that really well in the "everyone is hostile" aspect of the game, even though it could've been better, it works.

Long story short, I think it the podcast would have had a richer discussion if you guys would have all the info that came out before the game's release, instead of focusing on what it could have been based on the first trailers. I personally enjoyed the game a lot because I wasn't looking for a deeper game, I didn't have a reason to expect it. Even thinking of Bioshock 1, this was clearly a simpler, more straightforward game, and I'm ok with that.

I'm eager to listen to the Spoilercast and next week's regular podcast. Keep up the good work, guys.

P.S. Fuck the pointless looting. Just medkits and Salt bottles would've been enough.

I was let down by Infinite, a lot.

I'm proud of you guys for voicing the issues that game has, and not just blindly loving it like everyone else.

    You four and the bomb-diggity.

Sorry but media black out or not, these problems still would have existed. No amount of awareness would change the fact that this game feels more like an iteration than a evolution of the franchise. In fact, in some areas (that we discussed), I feel like the game takes a few steps backwards.

With that said, I can't stress this enough: We LIKE this game... ALOT. We are just refusing to blindly kiss its ass because it is a beloved game from a beloved developer. We will be focusing more on story and world development next week and I think you will find the conversation to be a lot more positive (though I have some minor complaints in that department as well).

Great show. The audio was a tad off this week, as was to be expected with the new setup. It sounded at times like it was being recorded in a lower bitrate or something? There were these odd audio artifacts that I noticed from time to time, but I also listen at max volume with giant headphones. Just pointing it out.
