Sony has released high resolution pictures of the new interface coming with the PS4 running on both the console and mobile devices and boy, it sure is an improvement from what we've had.
Taking a nod from Xbox Live, Sony has decided to go with the Panel look but while still retaining the sleek simplicity that has been a central focus of the previous dash. They also show some of the Ustream interface, or at least what you'll see when people on your list are streaming, showing that you can probably just watch from your console if you're already there.
Overall, I like what they've shown here so far. My one hope is that things are organized much better than they currently are with the new store design, as it's currently a horror-show to find anything beyond the big names on the front-end.

Yeah, hopefully that the Store interface will be much better and easier to navigate through. Other than that this interface seems to be looking really good.

Layout looks pretty descent but the colour transition and borders look at bit 2006.

UI looks good. Much better than the XMB. Hopefully they will let people try it out at E3.

I'm probably one of the few that absolutely love the XMB, and I find it near perfect, and I absolutely hate the 360's dashboard (I personally think the first NXE is by far the best) so this new UI makes me worried, hopefully seeing it in motion will turn me around on it..

Metro everywhere. Its hard to judge an interface without using it. All those posts on that facebook looking wall screen best not pop up when you are in game or at least give the option to turn them off because if you have more than 10 ppl on your friends list its going to get spammed like crazy.

I really, really don't undestand why people don't like the XMB. It's so simple, and because stupid people had to complain about it now we have to deal with this clusterfuck.

As long as it is fast and responsive, I am cool with it. I just hated when it would get hung up on loading thumbnails and what not.
