Injustice: Gods Among Us Has a Story, Trailer Reveals

Injustice: Gods Among Us, also know as Mortal Kombat for Comic nerds, is revealed to have a story too! Of course this should be of no surprise to anyone. Netherrealm Studios' Mortal Kombat rebranding had a fantastic story mode that featured seamless fighting within it. Or as Carlos so lovingly put it, “There aren't any loading screens. It's just story, and then you fight some fools!”
It was really well done, and I'm hoping we see some of the same here.
Though I was never really big on fighting games in general, I still have a place in my heart for the Mortal Kombat series whos slower -more technical- pace tickles my less agile sensibilities, and Netherrealm did a fantastic job with the franchise. Reskin that, add in comic book characters and expand the story and randomization? Sure, I'll sign up.

Is commander shepard playing batman?
Link / ReplyProbably not officially...but I'm going to imagine that's the case.
Link / ReplyAccording to the games IMDB (which of course it could be wrong) Batman is still Kevin Conroy. And really, it still sound like Kevin Conroy. I'm more interested to see who Adam Baldwin is voicing because I'm DAMN sure I heard him at least once in that trailer.
Link / ReplyThe fact that they got some characters like Wonder Woman, Batman, and hopefully Superman their DC Animated Universe voice-actors makes me a very happy motherfucker in my pants. This story looks like it'll share some similarities with the Justice Lords plotline from Justice League and JLU, with or without the parallel universe, which is just goddamn cool.
Link / ReplyWhilst I'm not really fond of doofmans opinion on videogames that won't stop me from being really excited for this game, the fact it has a story is only an added bonus for me.
