Being a long, long, long time fan of Buffy, this was hard to hear. First off, you cannot just watch the first season and say "it sucks, i'm not continuing." The first season was corny and everybody was finding their place. Buffy is relatable, quirky, and the show broke rules in television. Not to mention, it had FANTASTIC, subtle, comedic references. Plus, Joss Whedon is a genius.
And on a side note, OF COURSE she is going to be swooning over these guys, she's a teenage girl! That's what they do!
